I knew you both had lost your job, but never really understood the depth , until I read this . Somehow you both have a second season to celebrate . God is good 😊
Thanks so much, Dianna. You are so right--the Lord has blessed us with a beautiful second season and we celebrate His goodness every day. Bless you. 🏵️
"I Will Be Here" was popular when my wife and I were newlyweds, we have the lyrics in a frame in storage somewhere (thanks to too many moves), now that the mirror is telling us we are older, "I Will Be Here" is more true than ever!
Thank you, Emmie. It was terribly difficult! But, I learned so much from the Lord over the last two years! I recently told a friend that I would go through everything again to have the relationship I now have with Jesus! He is the One who led me to Substack and now I'm able to use my pain to help others. His plans are always good.💛🌻🏵️
@Grant Skelton- please accept my apologies, Grant! I inadvertently deleted your comment when I was in the process of replying. You mentioned that you lost your job in September 2025, shortly after you started writing here. My reply talked about the fact that we lost 80% of our income when the church changed our job statuses. The Lord has provided for us and things are settling down a bit now. Hope life is better for you as well. Blessings to you. 😉
Oh my goodness! That is so upsetting -- I'm so sorry! I love that you incorporated that verse about a three-fold cord! What a beautiful verse to lean on! Thank you for sharing!
Hope things are going okay for you now, Grant. We lost 80% of our income with the church changed our positions. It’s been a challenging season, but one of great growth as well.
I love this verse in Ecclesiastes .
It’s an amazing journey you’re on .

I like how you pulled that passage in to this, it does make a difference!
Thanks so much, Rosie. 🏵️

I hear you Jeff! The mirror tells us we're older, but it also reflects all our love has endured and survived. Thanks for reading! 😉
I am so incredibly sorry. I can’t imagine how difficult that must have been.

Thank you Laura. It's been a tough season, but I wouldn't be writing if the worst hadn't happened. God always gives beauty for ashes. 🏵️
I’m so sorry! He definitely does! Beautiful verse! I will continue to pray for you!
